  1. The history of the workwear style

The workwear style has its origins in the heart of the United States and in all the trades that occupy the territory of the 18th century.

The most obvious example is the lumberjacks! Everyone knows and recognizes the inescapable style of the lumberjacks: plaid shirt, woolen hat or the timeless straight cut denim pants. This style will gradually spread to the everyday life of Americans.

After the Second World War, the Japanese soldiers are marked by the American way of life and will, moreover, greatly if inspired for their clothes. They will integrate in their clothing style the perfecto or the jeans, but in particular a very particular kind of denim, the selvedge. This union between America and Japan, in terms of clothing, saw the birth of a Japanese workwear style mixing tradition and modernity.

  1. What is the workwear style ?

Although the word "workwear" literally translates as "office wear", it is not really professional wear. In fact, the term encompasses a broader style that focuses on dressing and dressing in comfortable and practical clothing.

In fact, it is a casual style in which you will be comfortable in your clothes, but the style is also chic since these are outfits that it is also possible to wear to work.

The codes of this style are easily recognizable. It is often about simple and basic cuts that fit, generally, most male morphologies: jeans, shirt, chino ... But it is also rather neutral colors that are used and raw materials.

Today's workwear is functional and comfortable. It is a style very easy to reproduce that retains the origins of cuts or prints from previous years and eras.
